Volunteers apply to be part of one volunteer team. Each team has different requirements including skills, experience and qualifications. During the application you can select your preferred bundle of shifts within a team.
Ride around the campground on your own mountain bike relaying important housekeeping messages to patrons. Perfect for confident, outgoing people who love a chat.
Education / training background preferredFullWork with our professional event catering team in what may be Australia's most remote kitchen — preparing food for key crew and artists, dish washing and serving.
Hospitality background preferredFullWork inside and at the gates to the concert area while getting to listen to fantastic live music. Manning gates and keeping walkways clear — suited to confident, assertive people.
Confident & assertiveFullA versatile, practical team helping with generator setup, electrical distribution, troubleshooting and general maintenance. Fully supported by an experienced electrical team leader.
Qualified electrician requiredFullVaried, fun and challenging roles helping bring together entertainment and activities for adults and kids alike. Suited to specialist, skilled, outgoing and organised people.
Experience in people-facing roles preferredFullSupport the helicopter pilot and bookings manager — greeting joy flight customers and loading and unloading passengers. A fun, social team with a great view.
Fast-paced environment experience requiredFullA very social role working from an information booth — greeting patrons and answering questions about the event, camping, services, logistics and local tourism.
Outgoing, strong English skillsFullWork in the busy, fun Mundiville merchandise tent — selling official event and artist merchandise and maintaining stock levels. Retail experience desirable but not essential.
Retail experience desirableFullLook after the plaza area to make it an appealing place for patrons to dine in the dust. Practical, hands-on people who are willing to put their skills to a variety of jobs.
Practical & hands-onFullThe backbone of safe and efficient traffic movements in and out of Mundiville. Some shifts are a real buzz during roll-in; others are blissfully quiet at beautiful spots a few kilometres out.
Confident & assertiveFullConstruct the impressive road and walkway network that is the Mundiville campsite — then enjoy the concert! You'll need to be fit, practical and able to walk 8km a day on soft ground.
Surveying experience a bonusFullWork with our Safety manager as the eyes and ears around Mundiville — walking the site to identify and minimise hazards within our risk management framework. Short, interesting shifts.
Qualified safety officer requiredFullHelp create Mundiville — constructing fencing and general infrastructure before the event, then pack down after. You'll be able to enjoy all of the concert. No specific trade skills required.
Able-bodied & handyFullConstruct the Mundi Mundi Bash main stage and side stage with our event builder. All the work happens before and after the concert — so the team gets to sit back and enjoy the show!
Building / construction background preferredFullMarshal the stage area to allow only authorised people backstage, led by our stage marshal manager and professional security crew. You'll always be able to hear the music.
Police or security background requiredFullAn essential part of the logistics and management of our ever-growing gear depot — helping crew find gear, keeping track of critical items, and preparing gear to go out to site areas.
Organised & detail-orientedFullHelp look after the beautiful arid outback landscape. Three key roles: Container Recycling, Concert Rubbish Crew, and the legendary Dunny Angels — all vitally important.
Passionate about the environmentFullA small, friendly team scanning pre-ordered tickets and distributing wristbands and vehicle passes from the ticketing office in Broken Hill. A comfortable, covered role.

Volunteering at the Bash allowed me to chat with so many different people from all over Australia and the world. Everyone was so appreciative of the event organisers and volunteers. So grateful to have the opportunity to volunteer.

Volunteering is a great experience — meeting new people and having a different adventure than most people get to do was a real bonus. The management were great to deal with and made the whole exercise most enjoyable.
