Wilyakali Crafts and Yarning Circle

Join Wilyakali community members for hands-on arts and crafts inspired by local culture, while taking the time to sit, listen, and yarn together.

This is a relaxed and inclusive space where you are invited to ask questions, learn about Wilyakali culture, and experience the richness of traditions passed down through generations.

Whether you stay for a moment or linger a while, this is an opportunity to slow down, connect, and share in something meaningful. A true coming together of people, stories, and Country.

  4. Ask questions and join the yarn. That is what the circle is for
  5. Stay as long as you like, then wander back out into the Bash
A yarning circle is about listening as much as talking. Come with an open mind, take your time, and let the conversation find its own pace.

The Wilyakali, Barkandji and Malyangapa Wiimpatja are also hosting cultural food tastings and Murru-Manu making sessions in the South Plaza across Thursday to Saturday, plus a merchandise stall featuring the Mundi Mundi Ruin print by Elder Joanne O'Donnell.
