About the Campground
The Broken Hill Racecourse is the official overflow camping area for Mundi Mundi Bash. If you can't find (or can't afford) accommodation in Broken Hill, this is your best option — a dedicated camping area right at the Racecourse, just a short drive from Mundiville. It's also a convenient first stop on the way in.
🎟️ Ticket collection is on site. If you opted for e-tickets, you must exchange them for physical wristbands and vehicle stickers at the Ticketing Office here before heading to Mundiville.
⚠️ Please note: Camping at Mundiville during the festival is free and included in your ticket. The Racecourse is for those staying in Broken Hill before and/or after the Bash.

Good to Know
A few important things to be across before rolling into the Racecourse or heading on to Mundiville.
- The town's population nearly doubles during Bash week — expect traffic and queues
- Think before you park — don't block driveways or residential streets
- Be aware of temporary event speed limits around town
- Don't leave rubbish in town bins — use the Broken Hill Waste Facility if needed
- Only stay in designated camping areas — no roadside camping
- No camping between Broken Hill and Mundiville — you will be moved on
- Other dump points: Kintore Reserve and Visitor Info Centre (23-27 Bromide St)
- Several chemists, medical clinics and a hospital in Broken Hill
- Services will be extremely stretched during Bash week — don't rely on them
- Restock medications and address health issues before you leave home
- Top up drinking water — there is none at Mundiville
- Empty blackwater cassettes at the dump point before rolling in
- Fill up with fuel — nearest fuel to Mundiville is back in Broken Hill
- Let family and friends know you'll be out of mobile reception

1 vehicle per campsite max. Leave 1.5m clear boundary on sides and rear.
Exchange e-ticket for windscreen sticker as you roll in. Check in on first night by 6pm. Post-festival campers must exchange tickets before the festival.
Roll out by 10am on your designated day. Leave your campsite tidy and free of rubbish.
Unpowered: Water taps to fill up on arrival or departure. Bring your own hose.
Powered: Shared tap (~4 sites). Fill up and disconnect — permanent connection not permitted.
Permitted between 8am and 8pm only. Must not be used outside these hours.
Turn off all music by 10pm. Keep noise to talking level only after this time.
Campsites filled in order of arrivals. To camp with a group, all vehicles must roll in together. No saving spots for later arrivals.
Unpowered: Book a regular site — marshals will find a spot.
Powered: Not large enough for big rigs. Book 2 × powered sites if you need power.
Dispose of greywater on your own campsite in moderation. Must not run onto neighbours' sites, roads or paths. No digging holes.

Yes — pre-purchase is essential and we recommend booking early as campsites are limited. Campsites are booked per vehicle (not per person) and the ticket covers camping for all occupants. A booking must be made for every vehicle staying. Once purchased, tickets are not refundable or transferable.
If you're camping at the Broken Hill Racecourse before the Bash, we recommend collecting your Mundi Mundi Bash tickets from the Ticketing Office at the Racecourse — you'll be there anyway, so there's no need to pay for mail delivery.
If you have e-tickets, you MUST exchange them for physical wristbands and vehicle stickers at the Ticketing Office at the Racecourse BEFORE heading to Mundiville. Car passes must be stuck to the outside of your windscreen on the passenger side, and wristbands must be worn at all times. Post-festival campers must exchange their e-ticket before the festival as the ticketing office will not be open post-event.
Yes — there are two dump points available at the Racecourse, accessible for big rigs, motorhomes, or you can walk up with your canister. There is no charge for campers. There is also a free dump point at the Visitor Information Centre in town.
