Your complete gear guide for Mundi Mundi Bash 2026 — everything you need to be self-sufficient, bush-ready and prepared for an incredible time on the red dirt plains.
For many of you, this may be your first time camping in the outback! Use this as a guide — there might be things on the list you don't need, or things you'll want to add. The golden rule: Mundiville is self-sufficient camping. Bring everything you need. The closest town is 40km away.

- Groceries from Broken Hill before heading out
- Bring cash — limited card facilities on site
- Bring a solid shelter with a waterproof floor
- A tarp is gold — shelter from sun, wind, rain, or just a little privacy
- Put a closed-cell foam mat under your inflatable mat for extra warmth and prickle protection
- Bring strong pegs — the red dirt is hard and firm, sand pegs not needed
- Avoid mesh-only tents — the dust comes straight in
- Wraps keep better than bread; individually wrap fruit and veg in newspaper
- Pre-cook and vacuum-pack meals — soups, stews, curries and pasta work great
🚫 The Mundi Mundi Bash is a glass-free event. Glass is only permitted inside your camp kitchen area (e.g. oil, condiments, wine bottles stored indoors). No glass is allowed in the concert area, public areas or anywhere around camp. Please decant drinks into cans, casks or reusable bottles before heading to the concert.
💧 No running water on site. Fill up in Broken Hill before heading to Mundiville. There is also strictly no blackwater disposal on site — take blackwater to a dump point on your way home. See Broken Hill Facilities for dump point locations.
Don't collect firewood around Mundiville, Silverton or along the road. BYO or buy from the firewood truck on site (limited supply). Pre-order firewood & ice →
Generators are permitted between 8am and 8pm only. Please be considerate of your neighbours — no generators outside these hours.
Keep noise down after 10:30pm. Quiet chat is fine — no music in camp after this time. The campground is massive and sound carries.
The campground speed limit is 10km/h. Limited vehicle movements apply on site — check the festival guide for current rules. No unregistered vehicles.
Dogs are welcome in the dog-friendly camping and concert areas. Display a Dog Friendly sticker on your windscreen. See the Dogs page for full rules.
